Hi all, Just wondered if anyone know anything about the Aria Pro ii CT series. I have owned this guitar for about 18 years having bought it second hand. I think it dates from the late 80s and I think its a UK model. It has the reference CT-CT-3DBS on the base of the neck. Its a green fading out to black paint job, 3 individual switches for the 3 pickups, tone and volume knobs.
I have recently starting learning to play guitar again after many years. Just wondered if this guitar is rubbish or considered decent for a beginner.
Want a Les Paul eventually but can't afford it yet unless this guitar turns out to be rare. ( I know its highly unlikely with an Aria ) Cannot seem to find any info on these on the web. Looked at the archive catalogues etc. Found similar with a sliding 3 way switch but not the individual switches. Got some photos of it but not sure how to attach them. Any help appreciated.
Cheers, Paul. Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that is my post. Asked the same question on a few forums last year to no avail. Here are some photos. Found this forum and it seemed to have more user so thought I would ask again. I have found one picture with no information of a white identical model but thats it. Somebody somewhere must have some info about this model.

Should be happy that is so rare? Does this mean its worth some decent cash?
Assuming I find someone who knows anything about it and wants desperately to buy it! Thanks for the reply but unfortunately that is my post. Don't think it's worth a ton from a collector's standpoint but I will say this. There is a reason that people want to buy this guitar. It plays slick and still does after all these years. Solid construction, attention to details, love the fine tuning screws and allen wrench lock downs. It's a kick 'ars' guitar that has amazing sound.
Aria was really trying to compete with the big boys in the mid 80s and came out with this bad boy. I would never sell it. Well, every thing has a price.and everyone; - ) Rock on! I had a blue Aria Pro II ZZ Deluxe when I was in high school back in the 80s, it was a damn nice guitar! I put a DiMarzio Tone Zone in it, I played that guitar for years but sold it when I got a 1991 Charvel Fusion custom.
I regret selling them both! Soul jazz records future bass rar file. Crazytalk animator 3 pro. - Bill Lawrence Come and be with me Live my twisted dream Pro devoted pledge Time for primal concrete sledge. I too have this exact guitar! Identical in every way including colour. Mine is battered though it's been gigged to death, I mean it literally has chunks out of it and needs a new tremolo. Definitely going to restore it though because as far as I'm concerned this is the guitar that really allowed me to further my playing. Took it to a guitar shop to get a quote but I just got it handed back to me with a clueless expression.
Was told I may as well just buy a new guitar! I have a feeling the only people who know how good these guitars are, are the people who have owned them. Although that would make us biased 😂.
I'm asking because I see this gutiar for sell dirt cheap on the internet. If it's made in Japan it's a good deal, right? We can't know if it's a 'good deal' or not because we don't know the selling price. Most Japanese Aria Pros aren't worth that much money on the resale market, particularly the bolt-on neck types. The Arias with set-neck and thru-neck construction are more desirable but still 'sleepers' as they often sell for about $300. The pictures look like a generic strat copy, nothing too special, and probably not worth more than $100 or so, in my opinion. That's the thing though.the neck plate doesn't look right to me.all the (early) MIJ one's I've seen and the one I have, either say Matsumoku then the serial number then Made in Japan. Or have Aria Pro II written straight across with 'accurate bolt system' sometimes written under that then serial number then Made in Japan.
That one has Aria on an angle.doesn't have a serial number (big sign right there) and that doesn't say Made in Japan. I zoomed it in and it says something like Aria & co (can't make out the last part) and then just 'Japan' under that. Red flags all around. My guess is that if it is an aria it's a later made in Korea model. 20 euro's is cheap sure.but there is a reason why. Either way the seller hasn't respond yet, it's not a good sign because if I buy the thing it would have to be sight unseen.
